“I’m Into Traditional Names”: Liam Admits He Had Nothing To Do With Naming His Baby Bear

When celebrity couple Liam Payne and Cheryl made their baby’s name public, the majority of fans thought ‘Bear’ was a little too ‘out there’ for their liking.

However, the One Direction singer has admitted that he wasn’t the one who chose it. It was his girlfriend, who he affectionately refers to as ‘the Mrs.’ who made the decision.

Speaking exclusively to the Sun, 23-year-old Liam said, “I’m into more traditional names. The Mrs… She’s more into more unique, original names that people will remember.

“It was her choice. I wasn’t going to fight her about it, she’s the one who’s done all the work, isn’t she?”

Considering the pain of childbirth, it’s pretty sound of Liam to give Cheryl full control over the naming of their little tot. She’s also doing most of the nappy changing and night feeds too, as Liam has been away in the States to promote his solo career.

He continued, “We’re always FaceTiming and the other day he smiled at me for the first time, it was so special. I just want to spend every moment with him but Cheryl is so great, she does everything on her own. She’s been amazing.”

That might explain why we haven’t seen Cheryl out in public for so long… Sounds like she’s got her hands full.
