5 Signs It’s Time To Break Up With Your Boyfriend
Reckon you should call time on your relationship? Here's how to know for sure.
It’s not working out. He’s been bugging the hell out of you for weeks now, and you’re pretty sure you’re gonna end it. These five signs mean it’s probably time to call it quits.
1. You’re arguing all the time
Arguments kinda come with the territory but if you and yer fella are fighting over every little thing, it could be a sign of bigger issues. Opposingly, if you’re not arguing at all, it could be a sign that the passion has gone.
2. You’ve stopped having sex
Unless there are some other underlying issues, not wanting to have sex with your boyf is a pretty clear sign that your relationship has lost its intimacy. Sure, it’s totally normal not to jump your boy’s bones every five seconds, but if you’re actively avoiding jumping between the sheets with him, then it could be time to call it quits.
3. You’d rather spend time with other people
If the thought of spending another boring night in front of the telly with yer fella bores you to tears, and staying late at the office to avoid him has become weirdly appealing, it’s likely you’ve outgrown each other. If it’s started to feel like an effort to spend time together, it could be time for “we need to talk”.
4. You can’t picture your future together
This one’s a biggie. Do you have an idea where you want the relationship to go? Can you truly see the pair of you being happy six months down the line? If the answer is no, you’ll need to figure out if you’re happy to continue with the relationship or not.
5. It just doesn’t feel right
Nothing big or horrible has happened, but somehow you just can’t ignore the feeling that the pair of you just aren’t right together. The initial heady buzz has gone, the honeymoon period is definitely over and it sorta feels like you’re just going through the motions. Not feeling it? Best to book your boy in for ‘the chat’.
