A Hurler From Offaly Is Modelling A Full GAA Kit In The New Issue Of Vogue Paris
GAA jerseys are officially *fashion*.
Bet you thought you’d never see a GAA jersey in the pages of Vogue. Well you thought wrong.
The new issue of Vogue Paris features a fashion spread shot by photographer Alasdair McLellan in Co Antrim, starring model Adwoa Aboah and a lad with a hurl in his hand:
But excuse us, we’re being rude. The lad with the hurl in his hand is Offaly native Oisin Murphy, model and hurler for Birr GAA (though in the photo he’s wearing a Cushendall strip).
According to the Offaly Express, the 19-year-old was discovered by his Dublin-based agency Not Another Agency through Instagram. He’s since signed with IMG Models, which represents the likes of Bella Hadid, Gisele Bundchen, and Cara Delevingne. In good company, so.
For the time being, he’s still free to play for his club – last weekend, he lead the team to victory in a final against Kilkenny.
We’ll be seeing a lot more of this face, we reckon. Congrats Oisin!
