5 Fun Things To Do In Dublin This Weekend For Less Than 35 Quid
This weekend is a real inbetween-y weekend, isn't it?
Ah November, a weird little month isn’t it? It’s a bit too soon for festive activities and there isn’t a drop of a bank holiday in sight.
We’re totally aware that these next couple of weeks can be a little bit boring and that you’re probably saving your pennies for Christmas, so we’ve put together a handy little list of things to do in Dublin this weekend, all for less than €35 so you can still make use of your weekend without splashing the holiday cash.
Asian Brunch Fusion With Ketel One Vodka At Opium
Asian food and vodka – our two favourite things. Experience a unique one-day-only event in the Ketel One Kitchen on Saturday with an Asian inspired brunch curated by Opium Head Chef, Phillip Hughes, an immersive cocktail-making masterclass and a Ketel One kitchen disco in the Botanical Garden at Opium, Dublin. Honestly what else would you be doing from 1PM – 4PM of a Saturday?
Tickets are available now at this link and cost €33.30 per person. This is a boozy brunch my friends so bring your ID’s!
Puppy Play Dates With The DSPCA
Do you have or know someone with a little puppy? Well the DSPCA host free puppy play dates every week to teach your pooch how to socialise with other pups. Puppies from 8 weeks to 6 months can partake in the 45 minute party on Saturday where they’ll get involved in a range of activities that’ll benefit their health and growth in the long run.
We know this is designed for the benefit of the puppies, but we feel it’ll improve your mood, too. The play date takes place this Saturday from 10:45 AM – 11:30 AM and you can get your free ticket here.
Disco Bottomless Brunch In Farrier & Draper
More boozy brunches – but this one is on Sunday!
This is Farrier & Draper’s last brunch before the Christmas season, so it’s going to be a good one. For €25 you’ll get booze, brunch and a boogie from 12PM to 4PM. The price includes a brunch main, brunch side and bottomless bellinis or mimosas while some of our fave disco artists (including ABBA) play in the background. Sounds like a Sunday hangover cure to us..
Tola Vintage Kilo Sale
If you’ve never been to a kilo sale before, this is a pretty good one to start with. One of our favourite vintage shops Tola Vintage are setting up shop in the Radisson Blu hotel on Sunday from 10AM to 6PM for their famous kilo sale. For a €1 entry fee you can scan through hundreds of vintage bits, find what you want, weigh it and then pay €20 for every kilo you’ve picked up.
A kilo is quite a lot so for 20 beans you could pick up a dress, 3 shirts and a jacket, perfect if you’re in search of a quality denim or leather jacket this winter.
Dublin Book Festival
The Dublin Book Festival is taking place all weekend in Temple Bar, primarily in the Smock Alley Theatre. There will be lots of family friendly events taking place all weekend, all completely free, including exhibitions, book launches and reviews, all in support of Irish creators.
