How Kanye West, Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande’s Tweets Have Given Us An Important Lesson On Mental Health
It's been a busy week
People will no longer take mental health for a joke

This week has been an interesting one for online debates on mental health.
We’ve seen celebrities use social media as a way of airing their thoughts with the world, when their thoughts are sometimes the hardest to deal with.
Following Kanye West’s tweet storm, aimed mostly at Drake and Travis Scott, Ariana Grande took aim the ‘grown men arguing online’ following the release of her new song, Imagine.
Kanye then responded to the singer, accusing her of using him speaking out about his condition to promote her song, which Ari took to heart, and duly apologised for.
“With all due respect, I don’t need to use anyone to promote anything. Period. I was making a comment about what men were doing at the time vs. women.
“It was a joke which i understand now was probably insensitive. I apologise if I was in any way triggering and hope u feel well today.”
You still with us!? Cool…
While this was happening, Ariana’s ex boyfriend Pete Davidson shared a worrying Instagram post that said he ‘doesn’t want to be on this earth anymore’, leaving fans extremely worried for his well being.
Pete later applauded Kanye for speaking out so honestly about his mental illness, in what some thought was a dig at his ex Ari, but we’re pretty sure it had nothing to do with that.
Despite the frankly exhausting back and forth, we think this debate is nothing but good for spreading a message of accepting and living with your mental illnesses, and hopefully some good came out of the squabbling.
