The 2018 STELLAR Celebrity Awards
Allow us to bestow honours (and dishonours) on the most talked-about superstars of the year.
Best Kept Secret
That honour must go to Kylie Jenner and Stormi Webster (we’re still not okay with that first name). We all thought we knew, we all speculated, we were all desperate for her to confirm or deny her pregnancy, but then she dropped a surprise video in February that documented pretty much everything. In this day and age, we have to give her a buala bos.
Biggest Beef
It started with low key sub-tweeting, escalated into calling out and then erupted in a brawl at New York Fashion Week, so you can’t say Cardi B and Nicki Minaj beef by halves. Nicki ended up annoying Cardi so much (she slagged her kid, if internet rumours are to believed), Cardi fecked a shoe at her, and they’ve been going off on social media ever since. We’re team Cardi, in case you were wondering.
Lifetime Achievement Award
She may be only 30, but Rihanna just keeps. Getting. Better. From her amazing, inclusive Fenty Beauty line to her size positive Savage undies, her take-no-shit attitude online and interviews, her amazing Youtube make-up tutorials and her general bad ass-ness on the red carpet, she’s just fab. The only thing fans want more of is her music, so come on Riri, stop dodging the questions…
Biggest Scandal
If you’d told us that two people off Strictly kissing in the street would make headlines for a couple of weeks after, we’d have LOLed. But the tea was strong, because contestant Sean(n) Walsh was in a long-term relationship (with a woman who’d cried with pride in the audience) and professional Katya Jones is married to background pro ginger Neil (not his actual name). It all blew up, we were hooked, and they eventually got the boot so normal order was restored.
Best Surprise
We knew Lady Gaga could act – after all, she’s won a Golden Globe for her performance in American Horror Story. But did we know she could make us feel all the feelings in the world, and deliver an Oscar-worthy performance in one of the biggest films of the year? No, we did not. We also didn’t expect her to shake us to our very core on the soundtrack. Roll on awards season.
Biggest Cheater

Tristan Thompson, you utter cad. Poor Khloe Kardashian was nine months pregnant when it emerged her boyfriend had been canoodling with various females around the United States, and was even snapped entering and leaving a hotel with one, as well as kissing her on film in the middle of a packed nightclub. Can you imagine? They’re still together, but only just, according to gossip – she’s since said he was “lucky” she was so pregnant when she found out. Boo, hiss!
‘We Saw It Coming’ Award
Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson’s relationship captured the public’s attention when it went from nought to sixty in mere days. There was the speedy engagement, the oversharing and oversmooching in public and the myriad tattoos – and then it was all over, three months later. And now she’s gone and cemented it all with one of the best break-up songs ever – to quote Ari: Thank U, Next.
The Internet’s Boyfriend of the Year

An honour formerly bestowed on Ryan Gosling, Timothée Chalamet and all of the Hemsworths, it’s now Noah Centineo’s time to shine. He shot to fame playing a teen in Netflix’s To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, but don’t worry, he’s actually, um, 22.
Silver Fox of the Year
If you prefer an older man, Jeff Bridges is surely it. Maturing like a fine wine with a lovely beard and twinkly eyes, we’re feeling it as much or perhaps even more than we ever were. Rawr.
Cutest Couple
Come on, as if we were going to pick anyone else! Harry and Meghan have won hearts all over the world, not least with their amazingly romantic wedding, but their stylish and genuine PDAs ever since. Who wasn’t delighted to hear they’re expecting as well? Gorgeous.
‘We Wish They Were A Couple’ Award
Sorry, international supermodel and mother of Bradley Cooper’s child, Irina Shayk, but Gaga and Coops were so convincing as Ally and Jackson in A Star Is Born that we can’t help but wish they got their happy ever after in real life. Plus, they seemed to have the absolute bants on the promotional trail as well… sorry to Gaga’s very cute fiancé, too.
Hero of the Year Award

After her terrible 2017 following the bombing at her concert in Manchester, we were rooting for Ariana this year. She’d a new album and a new fella. The poor pet has had to deal with the death of her beloved ex Mac Miller and the breakdown of her relationship with Pete in quick succession, but she seems to be coping and even thriving. Here’s wishing her a peaceful 2019.
