This American Horror Story Star Has Been Announced As The New Lead In The Sinner

A third season of The Sinner has been confirmed and it’s set to have a very sexy – er, we mean exciting, lead.

American Horror Story star Matt Bomer is joining the cast along with Bill Pullman who is back as detective Harry Ambrose.

The third season follows Ambrose as he investigates a car crash, uncovering a crime that pulls him into the most dangerous and disturbing case of his career, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Matt Bomer will portray the series regular role of Jamie, a Dorchester resident and expectant father who looks to Ambrose for support in the wake of an accident.

Matt is known for his recurring role in American Horror Story, one season of which he starred alongside Lady Gaga.

The actor confirmed his part in the thriller series on Instagram today, writing:

“Beyond excited to work with the incredible cast and creative team on @thesinnerusa , a show I’m already a huge fan of. It’s also nice to be coming home to the place where it all began, @usa_network . Wait until you see what’s in store for season 3!”

Season three of The Sinner will also bring back season one star Jessica Biel, but she’s only announced as a producer thus far.

Season one and two of The Sinner are currently available to watch on Netflix.
