Lady Gaga Shuts Down Romance Rumours About Bradley Cooper

It was very much an "orchestrated performance".

When the 2018 remake of A Star Is Born was released, there were tears, tears, and more tears. But there was also a glimmer of hope concerning the relationship between Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. The on screen couple were so realistic, that fans were almost wishing there was something going on in real life too. While the rumours have already been flattened, Lady Gaga really shut them down in her recent interview with Oprah Winfrey for Elle.

The two icons talked through Gaga’s extensive career, and also touched on her relationship with co-star Bradley Cooper. It turns out, the pair wanted the audience to believe there was something going on off-screen. Oprah casually mentioned she was recently in Bradley Cooper’s house, which then brought up the ‘fake love’ between he and Lady Gaga. Oprah mentioned: “We were talking about all the rumours about you guys last year. He said if they had been true, he never would have been able to look you in the eye sitting at that piano” Lady Gaga the simply replied: “Absolutely, absolutely.”

She then continued, “I mean, we made a love story. For me, as a performer and as an actress, of course we wanted people to believe that we were in love. And we wanted people to feel that love at the Oscars.”

“We wanted it to go right through the lens of that camera and to every television that it was being watched on. And we worked hard on it, we worked for days. We mapped the whole thing out—it was orchestrated as a performance.”

Let’s admit it, we all wanted it to be true throughout the film fiasco. But that’s that then, eh?
