Bourjois Will No Longer Be Available In Ireland From Next Year

Bye bye Bourjous.

Bourjois has been a pharmacy favourite for a hella’ long time. From their beloved blushers to that chocolate bronzer we all just HAD to have. There’s some Bourjois products that are nothing less than staples in the Irish woman’s makeup bags. But, ladies, it’s time to stock up on your beloved beauty bits because from July 2020 Bourjois will no longer be available to buy in Ireland.

According to Cosmopolitan UK, owners of the French brand Bourjois, Coty, stated that a “difficult decision” was made so that the company could focus on “priority consumer brands”. They continued, “We can confirm that following a strategic review of Cotyā€™s Consumer Beauty brands in the UK weā€™ve made the difficult decision to exit Bourjois. This will allow us to focus to a far greater degree on our priority Consumer Beauty brands.”

Bourjois has been around for longer than most beauty brands, dating all the way back to 1863. But it seems that Bourjois struggled to keep up with the demands of diversity, with brands such as Fenty providing 40 shades of foundation. Once Coty acquired Kylie Cosmetics, they may have forgotten all about Bourjois.

You’ll be able to purchase all your Bourjois favourites until June 2020, but they then won’t be available in either Ireland or the UK.
