Kat Von D Has Stepped Down As The Owner Of Kat Von D Beauty

Kat Von D has announced that she’s stepping down as the owner of her make up brand, Kat Von D beauty.

Releasing a statement on social media, Kat said her reason for stepping down was other personal and work commitments in her life.

Beginning the statement she said:

“This past year has been one of great change for me. As many of you know, I gave birth to my beautiful baby boy, launched my vegan shoe line, and am now busy prepping to release my long awaited album in Spring”

Kat goes on to say that though deciding to step down from the brand was a difficult choice for her, it’s something that she needs to do.

“As much as I wish I could balance all of this, on top of continuing my makeup line, it has become clear to me that I just can’t do everything at the maximum capacity.”

As for who’s taking over the brand? Kat also said that the company will now be solely run by Kendo, who has been her partner for the past 11 years.

The brand has also undergone a slight rebrand, changing its name from KatVonD Beauty to KvD Vegan Beauty.

“Thank you for understanding+respecting my choice, as it was a difficult one to make, but one I am proud of regardless, and am confident that the team will continue the KvD legacy”
