Geordie Shore’s Sophie Kasaei has just opened up to her social media followers about her diagnosis of endometriosis, in a bid to raise awareness about the condition. First taking to her Twitter page, Sophie revealed her diagnosis to over 900,000 of her followers. Retweeting a conversation about endometriosis, Sophie said, “I also have #endometriosis ! It’s such a sad condition that I don’t even no much about tbh!”

Sophie then continued, “Guys honestly it means so much to me that you are all supporting my recent news about finding out I have #Endometriosis. I still don’t no too much about my condition but I promise I will learn more and help and support any other girls going through this.” Before finishing her post by sending love to her followers.

Sophie’s conversation struck a chord with her followers, with many of them also opening up about their condition. With one replying, “Getting your diagnosis is the first step in this long battle but I promise you, you’ll meet the most fiercely supportive die hard females ever during your journey.” Fair play to Sophie for opening up on the topic and helping others to discuss it more openly too.

The NHS describes endometriosis as a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb starts to grow in other places, such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes which can affect women of any age.

Wishing you all the best, Sophie!
