Having rocked the ponytail since the beginning of her career, Ariana Grande has decided to change her trademark hairstyle.

Adding to the list of things we want to leave in 2020, Ariana Grande has decided to give up her signature ponytail as an early contribution.

The Rain On Me star softly launched her new tresses over the past two weeks and now, it looks like the new hair ‘do is here to stay.

Thankfully, it hasn’t got fans as shooketh as when Ari opted for a low ponytail – news that broke Twitter. No, this time she’s just taking her pony and multiplying it by two.

In less words, she’s now rocking pigtails.

Having shared a few images of the new hairstyle in a variety of lengths on her Instagram, Ariana really showed fans that it was here to stay when she left her ponytail at home when taking to the VMA stage to perform with Lady Gaga.

With fans favouring her new look, many on Twitter called on Ari to normalise grown women wearing pigtails and make them fashion.

With fans loving Ari’s new ‘do, it’s unknown yet as to whether these pigtails will replace her ponytail completely or if they will be part of a selection of hairstyles the star will rock over the next coming months. As we’ve seen Ariana’s natural curly hair, her platinum blonde locks, her mega plait and her ombre look all within the last year, who knows.

One thing’s for sure, we cannot wait to see what she does next.
