The Irish Internet Was Obsessed With Last Night’s Return Of The Den
The nostalgia! We could barely contain our excitement.

We all know of the doom and gloom that 2020 has brought, but last night we got the tonic that we needed, as after 10 years, The Den is once again on our screens. I can almost hear the waves of nostalgia.
Zig, Zag, and of course, Dustin the Turkey were big names in many childhoods, and they were warmly welcomed back with Ray D’Arcy last night. Of course, the Irish corner of the internet was absolutely delighted – to say the least.
RTE announced earlier in the year that the legendary childhood show would be making a comeback, and it came back with a bang. Dustin was up to his usual antics (no explanation needed), while Zig and Zag were having a great time, and Ray attempted to keep everyone in line while they virtually welcomed their guests.

There is plenty of TV shows that scrolling through Twitter reactions are half the fun (Bake Off, we’re looking at you), and it’s safe to say that The Den is now up there with ’em.

Seven minutes of Dustin in. I’m sold. I’m in. My cynicism is parked, I’m 9 again. #TheDen

The comfort #TheDen on @RTEOne is providing right now after that HORRIFIC week is just perfect.
Dustin, Zig, Zag and co are bringing a level of nostalgia that’s only comparable to a glass of flat 7up from your Ma when you were 7. pic.twitter.com/Et9gVAZGWk
