What a year 2021 has been

It came to light yesterday that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are supposedly filing for divorce.

It doesn’t come as a huge surprise, as the narrative surrounding them and their marriage for the last few months has been pretty grim. However, what does come as a HUGE surprise are the rumours about why exactly they’re ‘divorcing’.

Of course, with any A-list couple relationship drama rumours about infidelity will always be rife, maybe they’ve cheated with a co-worker while working on a new project, or they’ve been DM’ing other people on Instagram and have been caught out, but Kimye, well, people are convinced that Jeffree Star is the cause of their split.

Yes, that’s correct. A knock-on rumour has now emerged that the controversial beauty guru Jeffree Star has been ‘hooking up’ with Kanye West, which is the straw that broke the camel’s back when it comes to the couple’s split.

The rumour started with a video by TikToker Ava Louise. Who, to be fair, is controversial herself. From her song Skinny Legend to the video of her doing the ‘coronavirus challenge’ licking a plane toilet seat, no really.

And her newest video is all about Kimye, saying that it’s ‘well known’ that Kanye has been “hooking up with a very famous beauty guru” Jeffree Star.

She added that she doesn’t have any “concrete evidence” but claims she was told by an entertainment lawyer in LA.

Since then, other videos have emerged too, speaking about how the pair live in the same place in Wyoming in the US. Others have also been doing the most on Twitter, linking song lyrics Kanye has written to Jeffree and even bringing up some old tweets that Jeffree shared about the rapper from 10 years ago.

Kanye has yet to respond to the unsubstantiated rumours, and there is really no evidence to say they even really know each other.

But, unsurprisingly, Jeffree had a bit of fun with the rumour by referencing it in some tweets.

“I’m ready for Sunday Service,” he wrote first.

He later added: “We are 6 days into the new year and 2021 needs to chill the f**k out.”

And finally, to finish us all off he then shared a photo of a snowy road writing: “I love these beautiful #Wyoming winter nights Snowflake.”
