The New Naked Palette Is Giving Us Major ‘Getting Ready For The Teenage Disco’ Vibes

But in a good way

It has to be said, the devil and Kris Jenner may work hard, but Urban Decay work even harder. Dropping incredible palette after incredible palette, they sure know how to keep you coming back for more.

With so many of us on self-imposed spending bans (I know more about my postman than I do my own mother at this stage, someone had to put a stop to it), beauty brands are certainly making it hard to resist, dropping new lines as if they’re going out of style. But, while we’ve managed to hold strong and not rinse our bank accounts for any new releases, we may have to make an exception for the new Naked Palette.

Always first with the latest beauty news, Instagram page @Trendmood1 has shared a first look at the latest Naked offering, and it’s giving us major Y2k vibes.

The Naked Wild West Palette is the stuff of nostalgic dreams, with bronze snakeskin packaging, and 12 shades all inspired by desert neutrals. Of course, there are lots of browns shades in there as we’re accustomed to, with matte, shimmer, and metallic finishes. But, the real winners of this palette are the turquoise and gold shades, which look exactly like the kind of colours we would experiment with right before a teenage disco, then proceed to have a breakdown because it turned out looking ‘too much’.

So, if you want to relive your youth again, we highly recommend popping the gold shade on your eyelid, with the turquoise shade on your lower lash line for some ‘edge’ and finishing off the look with some clunky mascara and concealer lips – extra points if you get foundation all over your eyebrows and don’t bother brushing them out.

Things have come a long way since those clueless days however, and with words like ‘sustainability’ and ‘cruelty-free’ on our radar when it comes to our beauty products, the Wild West Palette is the brand’s first-ever vegan palette, so you know, props to them.
