7 Irish Beauty Brands We Simply Can’t Get Enough Of
Feeling patriotic? We're repping it for the best brands in the Irish beauty biz - and man, there are some deadly ones to choose from.
1. Cocoa Brown
It’s the fastest selling tan in Ireland – and for good reason. The brand is high quality, affordable and suitable for even the most sensitive skin – oh, and did we mention that even Kylie Jenner is a fan? With three shades to choose from, all for less than €10, you can’t go wrong. Happy days.
2.Waxperts
Waxperts founder Ellen Kavanagh, has made us gals a little happier when getting our lady garden tended to. Why? Made with Irish skin and hair types in mind, Waxperts offers a much less painful waxing experience. We swear by their ingrown hair pads for nixing painful regrowth, too. #TotalMustHave.
3. Blank Canvas
Pro quality brushes without the professional price tag? Er, yes please. Blank Canvas Brushes offer gift sets and their prices range from €6.99 to €13.99 for the larger brushes. So stocking up your brush kit never seemed so affordable.
4. NE Skinician
Newcomer NE Skinician is a brand new skincare range from the people behind Irish tan brand, He-Shi. It’s 100% Irish (they manufacture just outside Banbridge) and it aims to target individual skin issues, like hydration, purifying and mattifying, and anti-ageing. We <3 their affordable prices for their premium range, too: we’re talking in and around €20 for most products. Sold.
5. Bia Beauty
Bia Beauty is one of our fave handmade ranges, and it smells yummy, thanks to blends of lemon, grapefruit, juniper, rosemary, fennel, ginger and black pepper essential oils, while castor and sweet almond oil are thrown in for good mix. The range is natural and can be bought online or from selected pharmacies, health-food stores and beauty salons. Your bod will thank you!
4. Kinvara Skincare
Kinvara Skincare is a range of organic face care products, created by an Irish woman for Irish women. Perfecto. Their range is suitable for men as well as women, so be warned, your man could get his hands into these little goodies. In particular we love their Rosehip face serum.
5. Green Angel
Green Angel are an Irish cosmetics company with an extremely large product range, including products for your face, hands, body and hair. Their packaging is retro, with glass bottle jars and a gold lid, and they sell for between €15 and €30. Oh, and Holly Carpenter is a fan of their Seaweed foot cream.
6. Decadence Tan
This luxurious Irish tanning brand has received the quality mark of Guaranteed Irish. They are rich in all natural organic ingredients and are packaged in luxurious recyclable packaging creating an unforgettable shelf presence, so it’s not only great for your skin but for the environment too. #result
7. Cleanse Off Mitt
This does exactly what it says on the, er, tin. The Cleanse off Mitt is designed to remove all traces of makeup with JUST the mitt itself, i.e. NO cleanser is needed, just add water. Easy peasy. Quick, affordable and reusable, too. It’s designed to target those with a fast lifestyle. We’ll have three please!
