Although the jury is still out on whether face masks are actually something we should be wearing on a daily basis or not, it looks like that going forward they could be an essential part of travel when taking planes or overseas trips according to a recent comment from Ryanair’s Micheal O’Leary.

“You must wear face masks through the airport [and] on-board the aircraft,” explained the airline CEO in a recent video.”The government has already recommended that where social distancing isn’t possible, wear face masks,” Michael added.

And it looks like masks will be vital long after social distancing regulations are eased as Dr David Nabarro of the World Health Organisation noted that we could be wearing them going forward into our “new reality”.”Some form of facial protection, I’m sure, is going to become the norm” the senior WHO figure said and so, it looks like masks will be something we’re going to see a lot more of throughout 2020 and possibly, 2021.

However, let us remind you, do not wear surgical masks – these need to be reserved for our medical staff and frontline workers, instead, let us draw you towards some incredible face masks being created and produced by Irish designers.
