Here’s Every Single Beauty Product Vogue Williams Is Wearing On Our December Issue Cover
We get the deets from make-up artist Rebecca Todd.
Does anyone else have a total girl crush on our latest cover star Vogue Williams?! Sexy, sassy and loads of craic, we are so team Vogue RN!
Looking every inch the babe (as per usual), we were only delighted to sit down with Ms. Williams’ glam squad to get all the deetz on how they created her cover girl look for our killer December ish (on shevles now, bbz).
Here, MUA on the shoot Rebecca Todd talks us through the products she used to get Vogue cover ready.
Prep and prime
Rebecca describes this look as her Golden Goddess look. And aptly so, Vogue’s skin is dreamy, dewy, with gorgeous dashes of highlighter in all the right places. “To prep the skin I used used Decleor Hydra Floral Cream, and my ‘glo-to’ product MAC Strobe Cream,” Rebecca explains. “This was set by some MAC Fix Plus Spray to give skin a little hydration without making it oily.”
Ace the base
“Foundation-wise I used a mix of MakeUp Forever’s HD Foundation on top of a light layer of MAC’s Face And Body, giving the skin a stunning, dewy finish rather than anything too matte or heavy.” A big contour fan, Rebecca explains to us that it’s all about definition. “I used the medium bronze powder from Bobbi Brown to create a more chiseled look,” she reveals.
All in the eyes
To create a gentle smoky eye, Rebecca simply went for a really soft, wash of pinky gold across the lid, with a little more definition in the crease using the MAC 15 Eyeshadow warm palette. For the winged liner, Rebecca went for MAC Black Track Gel Liner, using a sharp edged 360 brush to create that flawless finish. This was topped off with a coating of Haute and Naughty mascara in Too Black MAC. A volumising product, this is great for a really full and dramatic lash.
Read my lips
Keeping it classic, it had to be a bold red lip for the cover, and when it comes to red Rebecca says there is only one that will do. “MAC’s Ruby Woo is the truest red there is. It helps too that it really suits our cover girl.”
Finally, to top it all off and make this look truly covergirl worthy, Rebecca applied a few drops of lustre drops, mixed with strobe cream to Vogue’s shoulders and legs. This not only lifted her tan but gave her a glow that lasted all shoot long.
