How To Copy Kim Kardashian’s Going Out Make-Up, According To Her MUA
In this video tutorial, Kim's MUA Mario Dedivanovic takes us through the step-by-step of her night-time make-up look and the products we'll need to recreate it.
We’re always on the hunt for super-glamourous make-up to wear on our next big night out, and we’ve certainly found a look that’ll stun down our local this weekend. That’s because Mario Dedivanovic, the talented guy that applies Kim K’s make-up, has revealed how he created the make-up look Kim wore to the Espy awards back in July.
This stunzo look combines a bronzy base, a sultry smokey eye, and Kim’s signature nude lip, and of course, we really want to copy it.
In this 39-second video, taken from Kim’s app, Mario gives us a teaser on the look. Luckily, we got our hands on the extended tutorial, and got the full rundown on how to achieve it. Here’s how…
To start, Mario fills Kim’s brows with Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel, €14.44, to “ensure that the brows stay in place.”
Next up it’s Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage Concealer in Sc-7, €15.89, which Mario brushes across Kim’s eyelids. “It works as a base for the eyeshadow,” he explains.
Then it’s on to sculpting. Mario grabs Charlotte Tilbruy Filmstar Bronze And Glow, €62,49 to highlight below Kim’s brow bone, before spritizing Mac Prep + Prime spray onto an eyeshadow brush, and dipping it in The Dolce Vita shade from the Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette, €52.
The colour is then patted onto the lids, which Mario explains gives a “much cleaner, more opague pigment.” For the creases, he adds Neutral Matte from the Viseart Eyeshadow Palette, €73.50, and blends.
A pro tip? “Applying a matte brown shadow to the crease really helps to define the eyes, especially if you’re taking photos,” Mario explains. Got it.To finish the look, Mario let’s Kim curl her own lashes with the Surratt Beauty Eyelash curler, €27, and the look is done. That’s our Saturday night make-up sorted!
