How To Fake Gigi Hadid’s Flawless Complexion, According To Her Make-Up Artist
Wanna get skin as glowing as Gigi's? Her MUA Patrick Ta shares the 1,2,3 on her stunzo look.
Exfoliate
The first step to getting a glow like Gigi’s is to get scrubbing. Patrick tells Byrdie it’s a great way to slough off dead skin cells to reveal a much fresher complexion underneath. We love Botanics All Bright Purifying Face Scrub, €3.99, for doing just that.
Prime
It’s a step many of us skip but according to Patrick priming the skin helps you to “fake a glow from within.” We like to use Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer, €33. Patrick recommends following this up with a blob of Maybelline CC cream to achieve a “fresh, natural look.”
Strobe
Strobe creams are our miracle products and they help to give the skin that extra luminosity and perkiness when it’s looking a little on the dull side. Patrick says to pop this on before your foundation. We’re big fans of MAC Strobe Cream, €33.50, and Elemis Flash Balm Pro- Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm, €54.60.
Cover
Patrick’s number one foundation to use on Gigi? It’s Giorgio Armani Fluid Sheer, €45. He says only a little drop is enough to fake Gigi’s glow. The Kardashians are big fans of this amaze-o foundation too.
Powder
Reckon you don’t need powder if you’re trying to achieve a dewy finish? Wrong. Patrick likes to set Gigi’s make-up with La Mer Translucent powder, €64.14.
Highlight
Last in achieving a killer Gigi-esque glow is highlighting. Patrick uses Becca X Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfecter Pressed in Champagne Pop, applying it on the high points of Gigi’s cheekbones.
Now, go forth and glow like Gigi.
