She Does What?! This Beauty Blogger Just Revealed Why She Shaves Her Face Before Applying Her Make-Up

Er, razors at the ready?

Chloe Morello Facial Shaving

Another day, another weird beauty hack from the blogosphere.

This time it’s the turn of Australian beauty blogger Chloe Morello, who just revealed on her YouTube channel that before she puts foundation to face, she insists on one crucial prep step: facial shaving.

Sounds scary, right? Chloe insists that it isn’t and she’s one of many bloggers who are championing the trend.

“I know that it’s a trend happening now and I’m totally on the bandwagon because it makes a huge difference when applying your foundation,” Chloe explains in the vid.

“Shaving your face is not scary guys. It does not come back thicker, it does not come back black… all that happens is that your face is as smooth as a damn dolphin.”

But why insist on facial shaving in the first place?

For Chloe, it’s a handy fix to her most frustrating beauty problem, peach fuzz.

“Sometimes I find that the foundation I have doesn’t come out with the finish I want… it doesn’t look perfectly fine and even if I’ve got a lot of hair on my face,” she tells her followers.

“I am a woman but it runs in my family to have severe peach fuzz from here down. My body is confused it’s like ‘I kind of want to make hair but I kind of don’t want to make hair’ but I actually shave my face.”

To do it, Chloe uses two different razors.

“Sometimes I use a regular razor (not the same one as I shave my legs with) and sometimes I use this smaller one so I can get the fine areas around my mouth and around here,” she explains.

And we have to say, the results speak for themselves; Chloe’s make-up looks even and airbrushed.

Still we’re not sure we’d ever commit to facial shaving. Would you?
