These Are Set To Be 2016’s Hottest Hair Trends, Says Kardashian Stylist Jen Atkins
Wanna know exactly what you'll be asking your hairdresser for this year? Jen Atkins, the lady responsible for styling the Kardashians' locks knows what'll be hot in hair this year.
The cut
Last year was all about the lob, a slightly grown out bob-length that was made popular when Kim K went for the chop in early 2015. This year it’s been given a bit of an update, with Jen predicting the lob will be given added length. We’ll be seeing “either blunt, cleavage-length hair – or a softer, sexier version of a shag. It’s very flattering easy to style and cool,” she told Cosmopolitan.
The colour
It’s buh-bye balayage in 2016, with much softer ombre hues making a revival in the coming months. For the more daring, Jen predicts that bold “sand art-inspired styles will be huge.” Think bright, multi-tonal, rainbow hues.
The style
Heat styling is out, babes. “Women are moving away from the same signature look 24/7,” says Jen. “They know that heat-styling causes damage, so they turn to YouTube and Instagram for second- and third-day inspiration, like crazy-cool braids or sleeping in a high ponytail for beachy waves. It’s all about mixing it up to maintain healthy hair.”
