5 Reasons Your Eyebrows Aren’t Looking As Good As They Could Be
Fancy eyebrows on fleek? We've pinpointed the brow mistakes that are keeping yours from being Cara-worthy.
1. You have sparse bits
Whether it’s just the way your brows have naturally grown or you’ve got a little handy with a pair of tweezers, sparse brows can lack shape and definition. Lightly fill in bald areas with a brow powder like bareMinerals Brow Powder, €21, for a naturally fuller looking brow.
2. You’re squaring them off
When it comes to eyebrows the goal should be natural not harsh. If you’re guilty of making your brows look too angled, then take a pencil like Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil, €4.69, and fill in any sparse bits with hair-like strokes instead, being careful to emphasis your natural brow shape, instead of drawing it on.
3. You’re using the wrong shade of product
Your product should blend seamlessly into your brow hair. We recommend looking for a brow product that’s offered in a wide range of colours, to find your perfect shade. We like Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow, €17.90, for finding our perfect match.
4. They aren’t shaped
While we’re all for DIY beauty, when it comes to your brows, we reckon it’s pretty crucial that you go to a brow technician to have them properly shaped. They’ll been able to align your brows to your face shape. Keep them tidy between salon visits by tweezing only the hairs that fall below your natural brow line.
5. You’ve overtweezed
Ah, we’ve all been there. You’ve overdone it with the tweezers, and now you’ve been left with eyebrows that are borderline microscopic. But don’t panic; you can grow them out. To start, stimulate growth by using the soft bristle brush on the end of your eyebrow pencil to exfoliate them daily. Using an oil will help too. We love Kiehl’s Magic Elixir Restructuring Concentrate, €34.44. It’s designed for use on your scalp but will have major results on your brows too.
