Here’s Why Clown Contouring Might Just Be Our New Saturday Night Face Sculpting Hack

On the face of it (geddit?) this weird new sculpting technique looks a tad on the cray side, but we reckon it could be our new go-to contouring trick. Here's why.

Clown Contouring

Just when we were getting used to highlighting trend strobing, another face sculpting technique is taking the internet by storm. And it involves making yourself look like a clown. For reals.

YouTube star BellaDeLune kicked off the trend when she created an extreme colour correction contouring tutorial, aimed at online haters who’d made fun of her and called her a clown.

Using cream blush, dark shades to contour and creamy concealers, Bella covers her entire face with colour, and then blends with a beauty blender sponge to reveal a flawless, sculpted look, even drawing a poopy emoji on her forehead and blending it away to make a point about online negativity.

The result? Stunning. Take that haters.

Sure it’s A LOT of work, and it’s definitely one we’ll be keeping solely for Saturday nights on the town, but this nifty technique colour corrects, conceals, brightens, contours and offers full coverage all in one go. We’re sold.
