7 Healthy Breakfasts You Can Make In 5 Minutes Or Less
Dashing out the door but don't wanna skip having a decent brekkie to start the day? Gobble these quick-cook breakfasts instead...
The snooze alarm is just so tempting, and once you’ve overslept, it’s easy to leg it out the door without grabbing something to eat. (We’ve all been there!) After all, who has time for eggs and bacon when you’re already 10 minutes behind schedule? Luckily, there are plenty of quick brekkie options for even the most manic of mornings, and we’re not talking about pop-tarts and granola bars.
These seven healthy and quick breakfast options will set you up for the best start…
1.One-cup pancakes with blueberries
Pancakes = happiness, right? These are the simplest pancakes to make, you’ll need one large egg, one cup of self-raising flour and a cup of milk. You don’t even need scales to weigh out the ingredients – all you need is a cup or a mug. Whisk everything together until you have a lovely, smooth batter. Mix some berries through for extra goodness.
2. Overnight Oats
Here at STELLAR we’re bonkers for overnight oats. Make a few batches on a Sunday night and you can have super-quick brekkie on the go. The next morning? Top with some fresh fruit – blueberries and raspberries are our faves – and some more chopped almonds, and enjoy! We <3 this honey-based recipe.
3. Eggacados
Loading up with healthy fat and protein in less than five minutes? Yes, please! Slice two avocados in half and scoop out a yolk-sized portion in each half. Crack an egg into each slice and place the eggacados in the oven for five mins. They’ll be ready right before you need to stroll out the door.
4. Hummus Pita Wrap
This one is healthy and filling. Grab a whole wheat pita and spoon some hummus on top of it. Then, slice up some veggies (We recommend peppers in this recipe), or some fruit (apples work well), lay them on top, and wrap it up. This one is also good on the go!
5. Avo Toast
We love this fuss free brekkie. If you’re feeling fancy top it with a poached egg. It’s delicious, fast, and fills us up until lunchtime.
6. Get greek
This morning meal is creamy, delicious and non-fat. We usually toss the greek yogurt in a bowl along with berries and any other sliced fruit we have around (apples, peaches, and nectarines are all great options). Add nuts or granola on top to give it the perfect amount of crunch.
7. Fruit and Cheese
It doesn’t get simpler than this nutritious protein and calcium combo, this healthy mix is very handy for those of us eating on the run. Toss an apple and an ounce of cheddar cheese in a plastic bag and you’ve got yourself a heathy breakfast bag.
