Unless you’ve been on some kind of social media detox for the last week, you’ve no doubt heard about PokémonGO.

The popular cartoon and game is back, but this time in app form, giving people the ability to catch and battle Pokémon in the real world through their phones.

While it’s not officially available in Europe just yet, those with Android phones can already download the app due to reduced security settings. If you’ve an iPhone however, you’ll have to wait a few days more.

Once you do have the app though, it looks like there’s no shortage of Pokémon to be caught on the Emerald Isle. Here are a few who’ve been spotted so far…

1. This Rattata, hanging around outside the Guinness Storehouse
Dublin 8 massive.

2. This Charmander, who showed up right here in STELLAR Towers
We made him coffee, showed him our August issue, and then uncerimoniously trapped him in our Pokéball.

3. This Rattata, who clearly has hopes of making it on national airwaves
Meet the newest Today FM presenter…

4. There’s this Koffing, who was hoping for a bit of dinner before he was caught
Doesn’t he know a kitchen is no place for a Pokémon who emits TOXIC GASSES? Jeez.

5. Oh, and if you’re near Dublin’s Grand Canal, watch out for those pesky Magicarp.
The place is littered with them.

6. They’re even on our public transport!
Green line, Red line, Pokéline.

7. This aptly named Weedle was spotted in someone’s loo
Went for a wee, caught a Weedle.

8. And this lad was spotted on Dame St, headed for a late-night pint no doubt.
It’s a successful night out if you manage to catch a Poliwhirl en route home.

All together now: GOTTA CATCH ‘EM AAAA-ALL
