A-HA! So This Is Why Miley Cyrus And Liam Hemsworth Really Broke Off Their Engagement

Miley and Liam are definitely back on. Liam confirmed that he and his ex fiance had rekindled their love for each other in the July issue of GQ Australia.

“People will figure it out, they already have…They’re not dumb,” he said of them getting back together. “I guess when I feel something, then I just feel it and I go for it. I make my decisions about what’s going to make me happy, what I think is right and what I want to do—and I don’t worry too much outside of that.”

But now that it seems the pair are all loved up again, we have to wonder, why did they split up in the first place?

Well, despite Miley’s wild child rep, the reason for their split is actually pretty mature.

“Of course it was hard, man,” Liam said of their 2013 breakup in GQ. “But at the time we were going in different directions and it’s just what needed to happen.”

Liam also cited another reason for the split: their age. “We were both super young,” he explained, “and it was a good decision at the time—we both needed that.”

Whatever the cause, it seems that Miley and Liam are back on track and we’re super psyched to see that they’re back together.
