Pack Your Swimming Gear For Electric Picnic! You Can Now SWIM In The On-Site Lake

If you’re Electric Picnic-bound this year, you had better pack a swimming costume and towel in amongst your wellies and flower crown.

For the first time since the festival began, the lake at Laois’s Stradbally Estate will be open to Electric Picnic attendees.

To reach the lake during the weekend, all you’ll have to do is follow signs from the Jimi Hendrix campsite. The area will be manned by lifeguards and will only be opened at set times, however, so don’t go thinking you can stumble over there full of beer after LCD Soundsystem’s closing set.

Opening times below:

• Friday: 2pm -5pm FAMILIES ONLY / 5.30pm-7pm ADULTS ONLY
• Saturday: 10am-1pm FAMILIES ONLY / 1.30pm-7pm ADULTS ONLY
• Sunday: 10am-1pm FAMILIES ONLY / 1.30pm-7pm ADULTS ONLY
