UPDATE: Retro Flame’s Erika Fox Has Responded To The News About Her Participation In New Reality Show

It was reported yesterday that she'd be involved in a six-part reality show on RTÉ.

Yesterday we reported that RTÉ was set to make a new six-part series about Irish bloggers who are making a life for themselves in New York City.

The show, which the broadcaster said would be called Making It In Manhattan, was said to feature Kerry-born blogger Erika Fox, and her younger sister Kaelin Fox, who are building their brand Retro Flame from the Big Apple’s Upper East Side.

However, Erika took to Snapchat yesterday to explain to fans that her involvement in the show hasn’t been confirmed, and although she has met with the team involved to discuss her participation, she and Kaelin have not yet signed up to anything.

“So there are some articles in the Irish press today about a show happening that me, Kaelin and some of the girls are going to be in,” she said. “They’re saying that it’s definitely happening but it’s not confirmed. I had one meeting with them, nearly six months ago, about the whole thing and they ran the idea thing by me but I haven’t signed up.

“Some of you have been snapping me about it, so I just wanted to clear it up,” Erika concluded.

RTÉ had described the series on their website as “Sex and the City meets The Hills, with the escapism of the Kardashians”, but the page has since been taken down.

So we’ll have to wait and see whether or not the series goes ahead.
