Those Pancakes! Farrier & Draper Just Launched A Brunch Menu And It Looks Tasty AF
These pictures have us drooling on our keyboard.
Dublin’s brunch scene feels like it’s constantly growing, with everywhere from your local greasy spoon to five-star hotels now offering all-day breakfast for the hungover masses.
Despite the widespread availability, a good brunch is hard to get right. We’ve had one too many plates of over-cooked eggs and glasses of warm Prosecco for comfort, but one look at Farrier & Draper‘s new brunch offerings and we were sold.
The Dublin 2 bar opened last year, primarily as a late night venue, but last month it kicked off a brunch menu too, every Saturday and Sunday from 12pm – 4pm. There’s live music every weekend from Sligo duo Cian & Caoimhe, followed by singer Brendan McCahey with some easy weekend tunes.
But back to the food, because the menu looks DEVINE. There’s this smashed avo, baked plum tomato, smoked mozzarello and pesto delight:
And the pancakes with ricotta, maple syrup and mixed berries:
Oh, and this baked egg and goats cheese scenario:
And the Farrier & Draper Benedict, with prosciutto, hollandaise and Fontina cheese, because what’s a brunch menu without Eggs Benny?
Then there are the cocktails. Given that Farrier & Draper has a full cocktail bar manned by an expert team of mixologists, it’d be rude not to try one with your brunch.
Here’s the Real Italian, a mix of Tanqueray Gin, strawberries, basil, pink peppercorns, balsamic and soda.
As well as the brunch classics, the menu also features more lunchtime-appropriate options for smug types who have already had breakfast. There are sharing dishes of antipasti and bruschetta, fresh crab linguine, papardelle pork ragu and all manner of Italian goodness.
We know where we’ll be booking this weekend.
