Blake Lively Has Been Slammed For Being ‘Racially Insensitive’ On Instagram

Yesterday Blake Lively posted this seemingly innocent snap to her Instagram from the Cannes Film Festival red carpet.

A nice pic flaunting Blake’s enviable curves and gorgeously good features, we think you’ll agree.

But it was her choice of caption that’s caused a bit of controversy.

You see, the words ‘LA face with an Oakland booty” come from the 1992 Sir Mix-A-Lot hit Baby Got Back. Basically it’s refers to a woman whose face makes her look like she’s from LA (which is predominately white) and a booty that makes her look like she’s from Oakland, a neighbouring city in California, which has a large African-American population.

Not surprisingly, Twitter was quick to react to Blake’s questionable caption:
