Confirmed: Hannah Baker WILL Be In Season 2 Of 13 Reasons Why But Not In The Way You Think

Her story isn't over.

Whatever your thoughts on Netflix’s controversial series 13 Reasons Why, you can’t deny its popularity, and so it’s no surprise that the show will be coming back for a second season.

But what format will it follow? And what about Hannah Baker? With her story seemingly wrapped up and explained in the 13 tapes, will she be making an appearance in the next instalment?

Well, according to showrunner Brian Yorkey she will be in season two, but unlike season one she won’t be narrating. Instead, we’ll be given an insight into the other characters’ points of view.

“We’re going to get some new context for events we already know about and we’re going to see a lot of things we hadn’t even heard about yet that fill in some really interesting gaps in our understanding of who Hannah Baker was and what her life was,” Yorkey explained to Entertainment Weekly.

What’s more, Yorkey clarifies that a lot of the questions left unanswered in season one will be explored.

“All the cliffhangers that we saw at the end of season one go back to the initial set of traumas that we’re talking about — go back to bullying, go back to Jessica’s rape, to Hannah’s rape. They’re all related, so I would very much like to explore where they all go and to see if there is, as I think there will be, some light for these kids,” Yorkey confirmed.

Whatever format the new season takes, its sure to draw wide audiences judging by the success of the first instalment. Now all there’s left to do is wait for a release date!
