Everything We Know About Kim K’s Role In American Horror Story

Kim Kardashian isn’t a total stranger to acting — the reality star has made cameos in films like Disaster Movie and PAW Patrol, and is clearly comfortable in front of the camera thanks to years of sharing her life on TV.

However, this new role came as a surprise to fans because it’s unlike anything Kim has done before. In the new season of American Horror Story, Kim Kardashian will star as a character named Siobhan. No, really! The character was apparently created with Kim in mind, though we’ve no idea where the Irish name came from and if it will bear any relevance to the character (a la Succession). Co-creator Ryan Murphy said that the role is “fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying”. Spooky!

While chatting to Variety on the Met Gala red carpet, Kim shared that she has been preparing for the role by taking acting lessons. “It’s really fun to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new and grow.” She went on to share her excitement,  “I’m so excited for the experience. It’s a challenge. I like to challenge myself.”

Kardashian’s co-star Zachary Quinto, a longtime AHS star, had only praise for the Kardashian sister when he worked with her on set, saying that he believes she will do a “wonderful” job. “[Kim] was so lovely and warm and, really, I don’t think she needs my advice. She seemed really in her element, and I was really impressed by her spirit and her openness.”

Go Kimmy! American Horror Story: Delicate is set to come out on August 1st.
