Here’s How The First Coupling Will Go Down On Tonight’s Love Island

Last year we saw a Love Island first as the viewers voted for which Islanders they’d like to see couple up, without giving them an initial chance to choose when they entered the villa.

So, of course we were curious about whether the latest contestants would be choosing themselves or having their fate chosen by others. Considering Andrew and Tasha were an original couple chosen by the public and (after many an obstacle in the villa) are still together, there’s potential to find the one from a public vote!

But it looks like this season will see the original format of contestants choosing for themselves and others walk one by one into the villa.

The boys will be the first to enter the villa and will stand in line and await the entrance of the girls. The boys interested in the girl will step forward and the girl will then choose which boy she would like to couple up with.

It’s the brutal game we all love to watch.

We will then have our first couples of the series, which is always fun to look back on at the end of the series, remember Luca and Paige were coupled up at the start of last season? Wild.

The couples will also be disturbed by a bombshell, of course, this the public HAVE been voting on. Not the Irish public, but the British public. But hey listen, that’s fine, we’re used to that by now. We move. UK viewers of the show have been deciding whether they want the first bombshell to be semi-pro footballer Tom or Business Development Executive Ellie.

Which one will it be? We will be tuning in to find out, although in true Love Island fashion we imagine the big reveal might be left for *Iain Sterling voice* “tomorrow night”.
