We’re just two nights in so it’s prime catching up time, and this season is set to be a spicy one. We’ve already had a surprise twist in the first episode, and our first bombshell has made his entrance; things are heating up as we speak!

Now rumours are swirling that we can expect an interesting new member of the Love Island cast to grace our screens soon.

Who’s the new lucky Islander? Well…we don’t know much, but apparently he’s an unnamed fringe football player from The League of Ireland, according to the Irish Independent. And allegedly, though he does play for an Irish club, he’s not actually from Ireland. Can we still claim him?!

It looks like any other details about the mystery man are being kept quiet so as not to give anything away…interesting.

The secret contestant in question will have something in common with at least one of the other islanders, Dublin’s own Catherine Agbaje.
