Kim Says Those ‘Unflattering’ Bikini Pics Were Edited To Make Her Look ‘Way Worse’ Than She Is

The pics, taken while Kim was on holidays in Mexico, went viral earlier this year.

Twitter had differing reactions when pap shots of Kim on the beach in Mexico went viral in April. Some praised the ‘natural’ looking pics for promoting a healthy body image, while others claimed it proved Kim’s online presence was fake, with people unfollowing her in their droves.


Now, after losing 100,000 Instagram followers, since the pics were published, Kim has spoken out, and far from being natural, she says the images have been altered to change her appearance.

Speaking about the pics on The View, Kim described them as “awful.”

“I was definitely not in my best shape,” she explained. “I hadn’t worked out in about 12 weeks, I’d had two surgeries on my uterus. I was already not feeling like myself and when people were like, sharpening them and making them look way worse, and then those were going around.”

Sadly, the nasty comments that circulated about Kim online had an effect on her and she vowed to change her appearance following the backlash.

“I was like ‘OK, I’m going to get it together’ and I started working out with this bodybuilder girl,” she told the panel before admitting that sometimes the criticism gets too much.

“I have thick skin and this isn’t for everyone. I can see why people get hurt and are bothered by it. I do break down at times,” she confessed.
