Lena Dunham Was Rushed To The Hospital After The Met Gala

Most celebrities who attended the Met Gala on Monday night trotted off to after parties across New York once the event wrapped, but one celebrity making no such venture was Lena Dunham.

Instead the Girls star was rushed to hospital following the high profile evening, according to Page Six.

A source tells the publication that Lena made the trip to the emergency room due to Endometriosis complications and that thankfully after completing a couple of tests she was allowed to go home.

This news comes just a month after Lena claimed to be free of the disease.

My [final] surgery went off without a hitch. When I emerged, cotton-mouthed, [Dr. Randy Harris] told me something I hadn’t expected to hear, maybe ever: there was no endometriosis left. Between my surgeries and hormonal intervention, I was disease-free,” she explained.

Whatever the cause of Lena’s post-Met Gala hospital trip, we’re wishing her a very speedy recovery.
