Ouch! So Selena’s New Song May Or May Not Be A Diss Track Aimed At Justin Bieber
Decide for yourself.
Oh dear. The drama could be heating up in celebland after Selena dropped a new song with Kygo yesterday that sounds suspiciously like a diss track aimed at her ex boyfriend Justin Bieber.
The pair dated on and off for six years before finally splitting in late 2014.
Selena is now dating rapper The Weeknd, whose recent release Some Way is also said to aimed at Bieber and includes the lyrics “I think your girl, think your girl fell in love with me.”
Hmm.
Has Selena followed suit and thrown some not-so-subtle shade Bieber’s way with her new song It Ain’t Me?
It’s possible. The song mentions Selena’s teenage years when she began dating Justin and it’s not the first time she’s made reference to her split from the Biebs in her music. (Who can forget her performance of The Heart Wants What It Wants at the AMAs when she finally said farewell to their relationship?)
Here are the lyrics. Whaddya reckon?
I had a dream
We were sipping whisky neat
Highest floor, the bowery
And I was high enough
‘Somewhere along the lines
We stopped seeing eye to eye
You were staying out all night
And I had enough
No, I don’t wanna know where you been or where you’re going
But I know I won’t be home
And you’ll be on your own
Who’s gonna walk you through the dark side of the morning?
Who’s gonna rock you when the sun won’t let you sleep?
Who’s waking up to drive you home when you’re drunk and all alone?
Who’s gonna walk you through the dark side of the morning?
It ain’t me
[Drop]
It ain’t me
It ain’t me
It ain’t me
[Verse 2]
I had a dream
We were back to seventeen
Summer nights and the liberties
Never growing up
I’ll take with me the polaroids and the memories
But you know I’m gonna leave behind the worst of us
Who’s gonna walk you through the dark side of the morning?
Who’s gonna rock you when the sun won’t let you sleep?
Who’s waking up to drive you home when you’re drunk and all alone?
Who’s gonna walk you through the dark side of the morning?
It ain’t me
It ain’t me
It ain’t me
Who’s gonna walk you through the dark side of the morning?
It ain’t me
[Drop]
It ain’t me
It ain’t me
