People Are Grossly Offended By This Beyoncé Wax Figure
“Theory: Beyonce wax figure makers have never seen Beyonce.”
On Wednesday, we did a collective double take when Kylie Jenner uploaded pics of herself posing alongside her wax figure at Madame Tussauds. The likeness was so uncanny it bordered on creepy.
Fast forward a few hours and the internet is having an altogether different reaction to a Beyoncé wax figurine that was recently returned to the Madame Tussauds New York museum.

The problem? Er, the sculpture looks nothing like her. Unsurprisingly, Twitter has been very vocal on the matter…

A spokesperson for Madame Tussauds spoke to the Press Association to rubbish claims that Beyoncé’s skin tone had been lightened.
“At Madame Tussauds, our talented team of sculptors take every effort to ensure we accurately colour match all of our wax figures to the celebrity being depicted. Lighting within the attraction combined with flash photography may distort and misrepresent the colour of our wax figures which is something our sculptors are unable to account for at the production stage.”
