Russell Brand Has Finally Revealed The Reason Behind His Divorce With Katy Perry And It’s Truly Heartbreaking

Theirs was a whirlwind romance that ended almost as quickly as it began, and now Russell Brand has finally opened up about his divorce from Katy Perry.

Russell filed for divorce in 2011 and in an interview on new show In Conversation With… he seems to lay the blame for the split on Katy.

The comedian says it was the popstar’s unrelenting schedule that led to their eventual breakup.

“Katy was obviously very, very occupied and busy,” he told host John Bishop. “I was occupied and busy but not to the same degree. The marriage didn’t last for a very long time and I think that is due to the undulating nature of fame, living in those conditions.”

Fortunately, there seems to be no bad blood between the two and Russell says he still thinks of Katy fondly.

“I have come away from that experience and I still feel very warm towards her,” he admitted. “When I hear about her or see her, I think ‘Ah, there’s that person, that person in the world.”

Since their split, Katy has dated John Mayer, Diplo and Orlando Bloom, while Russell has just welcomed his first child with girlfriend Laura Gallacher.
