‘Shame On You!’: Iggy Azalea Is Under Fire For Her Latest Instagram Photo

There are many things you could buy your boyfriend for his birthday. A meal out, tickets to see his favourite comedian or even a trip away somewhere.

Those are all really lovely gifts, right? Right.

But when Iggy Azalea’s rumoured new boyfriend French Montana celebrated his 32nd birthday this week, she chose to get him something a little more extravagant.

Um, an elephant.

Taking to Instagram, Iggy was shown posing alongside the animal and fans were none too happy, blasting her for using the creature as “an accessory.”

“Poor elephant, look how sad she looks, this shouldn’t be allowed anymore,” one user commented.

“Wild animals shouldn’t be taken out from their natural environment. Shame on you for been clueless and not educating yourself,” another added.

French Montana later confirmed that the elephant was a gift to him in on Twitter and blasted fans who had criticised him.

“Shut yo a** up. That elephant was a surprise for my b-day in my yard when I walked out, and was from the zoo and people that take care of it,” he wrote.

Hmm. The Jury’s out on this one guys. Maybe just stick with a dinner date for two next time, yeah?
