The 8 Best Moments From The 2016 Oscars

From unforgettable fashion moments, to totally cringeworthy moments, Oscars night never disappoints! Here are our fave moments from the event:

1. Leo FINALLY getting his Oscar

Let’s face it, if Leo lost out on yet another nomination a riot would’ve ensued. So, luckily Leo won the Best Actor Award, for his role in The Revenant. We were so happy for him. But not as happy as Kate Winslet, who was reduced to tears after his speech – how adorbs! Could Jack and Rose just get together already!

2. Saoirse Ronan’s dress

Saoirse may not have won in the Best Actress category, but she’s certainly the most stlyin’ woman in our Best Dressed category. The leading lady did Ireland proud, donning a stunning custom made Calvin Klein emerald dress. She’s deffo our girl crush of the moment.

 

3. Brie Larson

Brie is slowly but surely becoming the new Jennifer Lawrence. This super talented gal won Best Actress last night for her role in Room and she totally deserved it. At only 26-years-old her success is giving us some serious serious #lifenvy.

This lady always knows how to give one helluva performance and she certainly didn’t disappoint last night. She delivered a spine-tinging performance of Till It Happens To You along with a group of survivors of sexual abuse, and it had us feeling a little bit weepy. We loved her white dress too, although it was very mainstream for Gaga!

5. Michael Fassbender and Alicia finally shifting

It’s not like we didn’t know they were  a couple already, but the duo finally confirmed they are totally an item last night. The two clearly let their emotions get the better of them when Alicia was named Best Supporting Actress and she planted a whopper kiss on Fassbender. We seriously love this couple!

6. Jacob Trembley

Jacob is just the cutest thing to hit the red carpet since, er, ever. The Room star was looking super dapper in his Armani tux (who knew they even made them that size?!)  and he just oozed cuteness in all of his interviews for the night. He posted this snap of him and his parents on their way to The Oscars – eh can you say DILF?!

7. Chrissy Teigan’s cringe face

This had us LOLing for a good half hour! The model was caught totally cringing after Stacey Dash (a.k.a. Dee from Clueless) delivered a crash and burn joke on stage. You gotta love Chrissy for being the ultimate down to earth gal, who reacts just like us the rest of us.

8. David Grohl’s tribute

The Foo Fighters singer had us in floods with this one! Dave sang The Beatles’ Blackbird during the In Memoriam section of the show, to pay tribute to all of those in the film industry, who’ve passed away in the last year.
