This Surprising Shoe Trend Is Going To Be Huge This Season, But Would You Wear It?

Mary Janes, espadrilles and even Uggs. Shoe trends certainly come and go, but the go-to footwear that’s predicted to be big this season is surely one you’re already wearing… just, er, not in public.

See, according to Anna Wintour, the only shoes you really need for A/W 16 are slippers.

That’s right, as in bedroom slippers, that you commonly wear in the, um, bedroom.

Fashion boss Anna was apparently a big fan of them at Milan Fashion Week, revealing that pretty much anyone who’s anyone was only in love with the new slipper trend after they were featured in the MFW D&G catwalk.

“My very very favourite piece was they took the traditional hotel slipper and Dolce & Gabbana’d it,” Anna says in a post-show video for Vogue. “That was the one item I noticed that every single model there wanted and I certainly wanted. I love their appropriation of very normal pieces of clothing and giving it the Dolce twist.”

Okay, fair enough, after looking at the pics we can certainly see the appeal and we’ve no doubt they’d be hella comfy, but they’re not exactly practical, are they?

Like imagine rocking up to the office or even a hungover Sunday brunch in a pair of these?
