5 Reasons High-waisted Jeans Are The Only Jeans You Need This Season

It's out with skinnys this season and in with figure-flattering high-waisted jeans instead. Here's why they're your new wardrobe go-to...

Victoria Beckham

It’s safe to say, here at Stellar HQ we’ve fully embraced the high-waisted trend. In fact, we probably wear more high-waisted bottoms than not – you can’t go outdoors without seeing at least one pair of  killer pair of ’70s-inspired flares. But we also know how tricky it can be to find high-waisted jeans that work for you.

But listen up, here are five reasons you need these jeans in your wardrobe, like now y’hear?

1. Teeny tiny waist

Yup, when worn with a tucked-in shirt, high-rise jeans give you more of a waist without really trying that hard—no exercise routine or girdle necessary. Happy days.

2. They’re a celeb fave

They received a vote of confidence from Candice Swanepoel who says: “All of my jeans are high-waisted because I think they make me look like Farrah Fawcett.” So, yeah, now all of ours are, too. Obvs.

3. It’s a balancing act

Substantial flares balance out a fitted upper half. It’s that simple.

4. You can work them day to night

Simple, well cut, and flattering on most—you’ll want to wear these every day. Got it?

5. Mile-long legs

Bell-bottoms are meant to be worn long – sweeping the floor. This makes it very easy to lengthen your legs. Simply put on high-heeled shoes and hide them under the jeans.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a stork that delivers perfect high-waisted jeans to your doorstop. It takes a lot of trial and error (mostly error) and a little bit of luck to find the pair of your dreams. So we’ve done the hard work for you and hand-picked our top five high-waisted beauties.
