Sites like Airbnb have revolutionised how we holiday, making five-star accommodation accessible on a one-star budget.

Ireland is full of stunning cottages, cabins, castles and treehouses just waiting for you to stay in, and we’ve rounded up some that are definitely on our staycation list.

Some of these are budget-friendly and sleep two, while others are pricier but sleep eight, ten or even fifteen, meaning you can split the cost if you have a big group. Do note though that while the prices below are per night, some of these properties require a two or three night minimum stay.

Get planning and who knows, you could be waking up in a forest treehouse or a country castle next weekend….
