Friends Fan? Jennifer Aniston Just Destroyed That Rachel And Joey Theory

Earlier this month, a thread on Twitter went viral as it laid out reason after reason why Rachel in Friends should have ended up with Joey, rather than Ross.

I know, we were confused by it too, but the author made some valid points including how Rachel and Joey started as actual friends first before getting into a relationship, unlike Ross and Rachel who both jumped in at the deep end.

But in a brand new interview with Elle, the actress shot the theory down. “No! No, no. They tried! I think there was a moment when Joey and Rachel got together that maybe it could happened, but it didn’t,” she said.

“It was Ross and Rachel all the way. I really believe that if there’s an afterworld of Friends, they’re still thriving. Don’t you? I just don’t think Joey and Rachel could have made it. I think it was more physical than emotional with them. They were friends with benefits, and they left it at that.”
