If you go on holidays and you don’t post on Instagram, did it even happen? Yes, it definitely did happen, but that doesn’t stop most of us documenting our travel time on social media all the same.

When you’re faced with a spectacular sight or a gorgeous vista, it’s natural to want to share it with others, and Instagram users know how to do it best. A massive 52 million photos are shared to Instagram every day by users all over the world, and in the photo-and-video platform’s annual Year In Review, travel was what had many people sharing and scrolling.
