eBay Confirmed For Another Love Island Partnership – And That’s Great News
More of this, please.
eBay has signed on for another season of Love Island – and that’s excellent news.
The reality dating show is back for its winter instalment this month, and already speculation has begun around the cast, the format, and most importantly, Casa Amor.
While we don’t know exactly all the ins and outs of the new series, we do know one important element – that eBay is back as the official fashion sponsor, and that the islanders will be sporting some stunning pre-loved ‘fits for the duration of the series.
This partnership was huge news when it was first announced in 2o22, and continues to be a crucial decision in promoting the value and importance of conscious shopping… especially to younger viewers.
Mike Spencer of Love Island and Lifted Entertainment said the partnership will continue to encourage secondhand shopping: “We are thrilled to be pairing up with eBay again as our pre-loved fashion partner. We are excited to keep working with eBay and to keep highlighting more conscious ways of shopping on screen. This partnership will see our lucky Islanders get to pick and wear some incredible clothes sourced from eBay. We love pre-loved.”

The partnership didn’t just prove that secondhand can be just as stylish – and often just as good quality as buying new – but also led to the first Love Island contestant secondhand partnership.
Tasha Ghouri announced her partnership with eBay after leaving the villa, a swift change from the usual fast fashion collabs that islanders are drawn towards upon leaving the show.
At the time, Tasha said: “I feel passionately that we can all make little swaps to our wardrobes and our lives for the better and I’m so excited to join eBay on their mission to put secondhand fashion front and centre. Plus, I’d like to think that over the last 8 weeks I have shown that pre-loved serves up amazing looks while bringing out my personality!”
Tasha was the first ever Love Island contestant to opt for a pre-loved brand deal after finishing the series, and with eBay returning to the show for a second season, it’s safe to say that the chances of more partnerships arising this year are high.
Love Island may still be oftentimes criticised for certain aspects of the show (gaslighting and age gaps, we’re looking at you), but their commitment to promoting pre-loved fashion and encouraging young viewers to shop secondhand should be applauded.
Love Island starts on Virgin Media Two on January 16.
