What Team STELLAR Is Loving This Week
What we are talking about, attending and obsessing over this week.
Welcome back to our weekly favourites segment where we fill you in on everything we’ve been watching, eating, attending, and over all obsessing over lately.
With February in full swing we’re noticing a *slight* stretch in the day and that is a magical feeling, roll on spring and roll on warmer weather please!
Here at STELLAR we’ve seen some changes, we’ve welcomed a new editor for the mag Megan Roantree and we’ve seen former editor Vicki Notaro head off on an exciting new adventure which we are so excited about.
The digi team has also welcomed a new member – meet Lorna Gilligan. Lorna is our new staff writer and will be joining Jade C and Jade H for the weekly run-down of what’s hot. Welcome Lorna!
Now that we’re all caught up, let’s get into it, here’s what we’re so into right now.
Jade C is loving…A night at the theatre
Surprise, surprise I’m back with another recommendation for a musical. This time, I was lucky enough to get to see Blood Brothers in the Bord Gais Energy Theatre, a show I had heard about and wanted to see but never got the chance before now. All I can say is wow. I want to see it again already.
I won’t spoil the show for those who don’t know it, because I found going in blind actually added to my enjoyment as I didn’t know what to expect next and was on the edge of my seat the entire time. The cast were brilliant and the audience were collectively reacting to the scenes.
The show is running until the 18th of February so get booking now.

Lorna is loving… Season 4 of You
I will be the first to admit I wasn’t the biggest fan of seasons 1-3, don’t kill me! It just didn’t float my boat. I felt like I was dragging my heels trying to finish it BUT Season 4, well that’s changed everything because I have to say I’m a fan.
I don’t know whether it was the location change, and I disliked previous seasons because Penn Badgeley in New York just screams Dan Humphrey to me, don’t get me started on Joe in California it was just an all new level of strange to me. Was the storyline just better in general? It’s possible! Whatever they’re doing it’s working they’ve got me hooked and waiting on Season 4 part 2.
Season 4 part 2 will be available to stream on Netflix on the 9th of March.

Jade H is loving… Funny Woman
Sky Max’s latest series Funny Woman has just dropped – and let me tell you, it’s hilarious.
Starring Gemma Arterton as Barbara Parker, the comic drama (based on Nick Hornby’s bestselling book Funny Girl) is set in 1964, a time when women were expected to be fertile and fabulous – not funny. But Barbara has other ideas, and she sets off for the bright lights of London with the intention of making just about everyone laugh.
The series is charming, nostalgic, and of course, pretty funny – so if you’re looking for something to watch this week, we’ve got you.

Jade C is loving…The perfect brow
I am no expert at makeup, so I love when products make achieving my desired look as simple as possible. The new Benefit Fluff Up Brow Wax does just that. I’m not really a super fluffy brow gal but I prefer more of a structured fluff on myself and with this product I’ve found it super simple to shape my eyebrows before I fill them in.
Sometimes I don’t even need to go over them with a pencil after if I’m on the go or not wearing makeup a simple slick of the wax makes me look put together already.

Lorna is loving…a good liner flick
I spent years searching for the perfect liquid liner, the shake in my hand makes a brush nearly impossible so a pen was my best and only option. Enter the Ciatè London Stamp and Drag Liquid Eyeliner.
It gives you the control to be able to do your wings freehand, I didn’t mess up once! The liner itself is also jet black and stays that way without turning a greyish colour like a lot of others. It’s quick and easy to use, exactly what I need before heading out the door.

Jade H is loving… a glow-y base
Luckily, I have three. Or at least, three different shades of a new product that can get me there.
SOSU Cosmetics recently launched their latest product, Radiance Base – a gorgeous, lightweight, skin enhancer product that you can mix with your foundation, or wear on its own.
The product comes in three shades, silk bronze, glow, and cosmic sheen, and having tried it myself in recent days, I can confirm that it feels gorgeous on the skin, and gives a subtle, dewy finish to your makeup look. A solid addition to any makeup bag this spring.
