Bella Hadid Reveals She Deals With Crippling Morning Anxiety
Bella Hadid got real with her followers about how her anxiety impacts her morning routine and can turn her daily positive affirmations negative.
The 26-year-old model took to her TikTok to share an insight into the chronic battle she faces daily, just like so many other men and women all over the world.
She posted a video to her TikTok of her sitting in her bed discussing her mental health and how it effects her, particularly in the morning.
Bella spoke about wanting to keep herself accountable for her morning routine and showing her followers just how real her morning can get, she said: “I want to just show you something: How f*cking dumb I look sometimes in the morning when I do my morning affirmations and try to get my routine done. It usually doesn’t work because I just have so much anxiety.”

The American model explained how she finds her anxious thoughts can take over particularly during the morning when she’s trying to psyche herself up for the day making her believe her affirmations to be untrue.
She says: “I’ll be like, ‘You’re gonna have an amazing day today, Bella. You’re not gonna let your anxiety overrule you. You are loved. You are loved. You are loved, Bella. Not everyone hates you'”.
Bella says she doesn’t feel like a human being 99% of the time but there’s that 1% where you feel like maybe you can do this.
She notes that she usually leans on career highs to help soothe the feeling of not being good enough, a process she is trying her hardest to change.
She says: “Usually, when I’m working so much, my accomplishments make me feel better which is so unhealthy, so, I’m trying to just make myself feel better naturally”.

Bella has previously opened up about her mental-health struggles in 2021 after posting a carousel of images of her crying to Instagram that she had previously sent to her doctor and mother to show exactly how she was feeling during long depressive episodes.
In an interview with The Wall Street Journal in 2022 she noted: “It was the easiest thing for me to do at the time because I was never able to explain how I was feeling. I would just be in excruciating and debilitating mental and physical pain, and I didn’t know why. That was over the past three years”.
